Scenic mountains, ancient woodlands, beautiful rivers and a stunning coastline are just some of the natural wonders to discover in Gwynedd. This unique region of North Wales is home to the Snowdonia National Park, Llŷn Peninsula (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and around 200 miles of breathtaking coastline. Harlech boasts one of the region’s most popular beaches thanks to its golden sand and grassy dunes. You’ll also find beautiful beaches at Tywyn, Barmouth and Dinas Dinlle, just a short drive from Caernarfon.

Caernarfon Castle and Beaumaris Castle are very popular with tourists, as are the lovely Welsh towns and villages of Betws-y-Coed and Llanberis. Make sure you visit Portmeirion too — a uniquely designed Italianate village with sub-tropical gardens, shops and architecture. There are so many fascinating places to explore in Gwynedd, in addition to our huge range of fantastic holiday homes at great prices. Many of our properties are pet-friendly and come with included extras like free Wifi and even private hot tubs.

As you can imagine, there’s plenty to do in this part of the world, whether you choose to stay on the mainland or head over the Menai Straits to Anglesey. The Snowdon Mountain Railway is a gentler way to ascend the famous mountain. If you’re up for the challenge, there are plenty of wonderful hiking routes too, including the rugged Rhinog Mountains or Cadair Idris. For a gentler walk, head to the stunning Swallow Falls near Conwy. Other delightful day trips include the slate caverns of Blaenau Ffestiniog or boat trips to the magical Bardsey Island. The options are truly endless!
